The Meadows is family fun for everyone, featuring a stunning twelve-acre lake stocked with large mouth bass, bream, crappie and catfish for the fishing enthusiast. The property is surrounded by hardwoods, with hiking trails for varied wildlife and bird watching opportunities. We have two camp sites on the water, each a short walk to the main beach for canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, boarding, swimming, and sunning. We offer a camp kitchen and an outdoor shower at the main lodge for your convenience. Each camp site has their own beach, fire pit and toilet facility for added privacy. (Firewood is provided complimentary) The Meadows is a family friendly destination that won't disappoint. Whether you are a couple seeking a secluded spot for some rest & relaxation, a family looking to reconnect over s'mores after a corn hole tournament or a book club wanting a new get away to dissect their latest read you will discover relaxed Southern hospitality. Nearby attractions include Five Forks National Battlefield, Pamplin Park, The Virginia Motorsports Park and Lake Phoenix Scuba Park. Pricing starts at $65 per night and includes two guests. Please register all additional guests over twelve when booking - price is $25 per additional guest, per day - host will verify guests count on arrival. Check in with your Host when you arrive!

Camping with 2 kids
We loved tent camping at site #1. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating to any help we needed. Lots of nice wildlife to see around the lake and our daughters loved the sand area.

Lovely site! Will be back!
What a lovely experience (minus the rain). The location was perfect! It was right on the water and had lovely space to set up camp. The portable bathroom experience was clean and well-kept. Having water on site also was very convenient (given we had so much cleaning to do after a big rain storm). Our 3 pups loved being out in nature. However, the hosts really helped to make this a memorable visit! They were very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Quiet site, wonderful hosts
My son and I had a lovely stay at the Meadows of Chigger Creek (Site 1). We even caught a few bass. Kirstin and Dale were so welcoming. They had everything we needed, and made the stay easy and enjoyable!

Pepper and I LOVED our trip
What an amazing experience! I chose this place because of the reviews and pictures. I needed a quiet serene place to go and relax before my surgery. Boy did this place deliver! It was beautiful, quiet, and so peaceful. A great place to kayak and paddle board. Kristin and her husband were so welcoming and kind. My dog LOVED it there. To camp and be off leash is her favorite. The wildlife is beautiful as well. I will be returning after my recovery. 100% happy with my experience.
